Surprised : Naturepedic Waterproof Fitted Crib Pad, 28x52
We purchased two of these mattress pads for my newborn daughter 15 months ago. They are astonishing -- soft, thick and pleasant to touch. They had no smell at all when they came out of the package, which totally amazed me. They also do a astonishing job: the (waterproof) mattress under the pad has never even been damp. After 15 months of nonstop use they look and feel like new.
In terms of drying, these take about 15-20 minutes longer (on low heat) than the rest of my daughter's laundry to be dry.
Originally I wasn't sure either I should spend the money on these mattress pads, but I now feel that it was money very well spent, and I can unreservedly recommend them to anyone looking for a nice alternative to the former mattress pads out there.
