Terrible Company- I had to file a claim with Amazon! : Home Source Rayon Made From Bamboo Queen Fitted Sheet, Sea Glass
I'm never going back to cotton sheets and pillowcases! This rayon (from bamboo) seems to draw your body heat away, so you always stay cool. So this is excellent for the hottest of climates. I even prefer these in the coldest of winter. Just put a blanket on top and you'll be just as good as if you had flannel sheets. Either you want to be cool or warm, at least you'll always feel dry with them over your mattress. And they just feel much more softer than any other material out there.
The only drawback (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) is that if you don't fold them right after you take them out of the dryer, they get wrinkled. I always put them right back on the bed, but you still have to take them right out after the dryer cycle completes because you'll see where it was wrinkled if it cools before they're back on.
Also, if you have a soft bed (like my memory-foam mattress), after a few nights they get stretched-out, so I tend to put them back in the dryer for fluffing and a microscopic shrinking back to form, even if they are clean. However, this happens with other fabrics on my bed, although it doesn't happen as speedily with the rayon. And even though I say I'm shrinking it, it doesn't mean I'm doing it in a bad way. The advantage of this material is that it's stretchy, so you can get it too fit well over the mattress without it being too snug. If you dry them on low heat as specified on the tags, they'll shrink back to traditional size, but never any smaller than that.
Caveat: Rayon from bamboo is misleading. By the time the bamboo fiber is processed into the rayon, there's virtually nothing natural about it left (due to the processing). So maybe even rayon from man-made fiber would also suffice.
